Expressing breast milk from work takes a lot of time and dedication, so anything that will make the process easier is appreciated by moms. These plastic breast milk storage bags come pre-sterilized, and are easy to carry around--as they're not much bigger than a travel pack of tissues. In fact, they come in a tissue-style dispenser, making them easy to access and store. Each bag stores up to 6 ounces, or 180 milliliters of milk, and seals tightly to preserve freshness. Bags lay flat in the freezer saving plenty of space for more milk or other foods. Milk transfers easily from bag to bottle with no spillage. A tab above the fill area lets you write the express date, volume of milk, and the name of your child (in case you are handing it off to a busy daycare provider for feedings) on the bag without worry that you may puncture and contaminate your milk with ink. If bags are not frozen, unlikely they will leak. After you freeze them, you have to be very careful not to bump them into anything hard or abrasive because they will leak for sure. The bags are relatively thinner and softer than Medela bags. I breastfed for a year and had to freeze 2-3 months of breastmilk in advance when I had supply because I went to work so I've had multiple experience with leaky bags from Lansinoh. Again, you pay for what you get. It's very cheap compared to Medela.

the same with me-- about 1/3 of the bags leaks from th bottoms. I usually stored 5-6 ounces, which the bag suggests and there still a lot of room in the bag for ice expansion. I never had the same issue with Medela, which is double price of this one. So you get what you paid. When they leak, I turn them upside done and cut a hole on the bottom to pour the milk out. I did waste quite several bags of my precious breast milk when the leak is too big, because when the bags where just taken out from freezer, you cannot tell if there is a leak or not; only when some of the milk are thrawed a little, you can detect the leak. Don't buy.

I love these storage bags. I don't pump on a regular basis, but when I need to and don't want to waste what I pumped these storage bags work wonderfully. I have never had any problems with leaks when I sealed them properly. I lay them flat in the freezer until they are hard and then they store in a compact space.

I've tried many bags. I will never buy anything but Lansinoh. I've never had one leak. I freeze them flat and then store them. They thaw very easily as well! They are quite simply...the best.

We were nervous after reading the reviews that mentioned leaking, but so far so good. We've thawed over 200 bags so far and have had only 3 that leaked - under 2%. We thaw all of them in a bowl in the refrigerator so we haven't actually lost any milk. And we have been rough on them - filling some to 10 or more ounces, cramming them in the freezer, etc... Overall no complaints - this was the perfect storage solution for us and we would recommend the storage bags without hesitation.
