Intense... Not in a good way July 27, 2010 Demosthenes (Planet Earth) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Problem after problem, issue after issue... It works, sometimes. This thing just hasn't done its job well, when it's done it.
Basic Phone June 2, 2010 Jared Bobbett (NEVADA, MISSOURI, US) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For someone wanting a basic phone on a reliable network, the Samsung Intensity is a good choice. The full qwerty keyboard is decently sized and the T9 is a plus. I have problems with my phone freezing if it is worked too hard. The camera is mediocre and the bluetooth is not worth having. This phone is unable to sync files with any other phone via bluetooth. The USB cable is really handy and having a contacts backup system makes sure you will not loose your numbers if you lost your phone. Overall, it is a cheap phone with a few nice features.
Good Phone, decent features! June 2, 2010 Sanya E. Zeno-turner (Cleveland,TN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had this phone for a few months. It was received for another replacement slide type cell phone that was horrible!
This phone has some really great features like ring-tones (with great sound), camera takes good pictures , love the qwerty keyboard AND separate number pad.
My only 2 complaints are... when you put it away you cant press an outer button to keypad lock. My other is the headset jack is a 1/8" instead of a 1/4". So you can't use plain head phones without an adapter.
No video! May 4, 2010 C. Hargrave (franklin,va) I bought this phone for my husband for Christmas. He really liked the phone because mainly all he did was text. However, he was disappointed with the quality in the photos and more disappointed that there was not an option to record a video. Overall, the quality of this phone is awful! The phone is small and definitely not recommended for anyone who is "rough" on their phones.
4-minute billing increment on prepaid basic, not for me April 21, 2010 A. Peter Allan (East Coast, USA) 3 out of 8 found this review helpful
I am a very light cell user: 3-5 calls per week, mostly under a minute. I like to have a phone for emergencies, but I haven't had one yet. I text a little too. I wanted to save money over my AT&T postpaid account by switching to prepaid basic 25c/minute with no daily access fee. I researched this phone and plan in detail, including everything on the Verizon website, and the 5-page Prepaid Customer Service Agreement that I agreed to when I ordered the phone. There was nothing about the billing increment, and I expected 1-minute billing increment like every other plan I have used, and as implied by "25c/min". It did not say "$1/call and $1 extra after each 4 min".
Activation was a miserable experience - it would not work online and it would not work on Verizon's automated service. An operator finally asked for all the information that I had already entered online, and asked for a number to call me back at so that I could read the IMEI number from under the battery on the phone. After 45 minutes she asked me (again) what plan I wanted and I said "basic". She said something like "I have to tell you something about that plan", and started reading a long paragraph about conditions and fees and taxes. I stopped her when she got to "four minute billing increment" as said that it would not work for me because my costs would be higher than my current plan. She made a dubious claim that it's really only 50c per call and $1 per 4 minutes after 2 minutes, but that still costs me more and feels like a scam.
I am returning the phone and will fight them if they try to charge the $35 restocking fee, although they say I won't because it was never activated.

Okay, so there are advantages to going out to the local mall and doing some window shopping or browsing in your favorite bookstore, but when time is short, go the online route. Play at an online casino and save yourself the hassle of time-consuming travel.
